Nov 15/09 The AGM in Merritt was one of the most well attended meetings we’ve ever had with over 40 participants. The conference room at the BW Nicola was just the right size, and the service was very good. After a full day of meetings, everyone relaxed to an informative talk about horse behaviour from Dr. Michael Peterson followed by an amazing slide and video show from our Tevis riders and crew. The event was capped off with a delicious banquet and awards presentation. Safe to say Lori Bewza was the big winner of the evening taking home Grand Champion, High Mileage BC, a Top 5 overall, and Partners Award, all with Black Majik. All Award winners HERE. See the Contacts to find out who has been elected to the BOD!

Sept 29/09 Great story from the Endurance Canada site: Thank you, Terry, Don and Brian! Moulton Creek was a HUGE success – what a team you are – what a start to the season! The ride was so well organized, down to the smallest detail. We know it is the last thing on your mind today but we certainly hope you will put on another ride in the near future! The ride site is phenomenal – the trail possibilities endless - perfect for a ‘national/international’ event! All the veterinarians were great; the volunteers helped out doing whatever, wherever, whenever needed – and the food was unbelievable! Personally, we did not see the trail but by all accounts it was amazing. It will be a long time before the ‘view’ from ride camp will be forgotten; how lucky you are to have found such a beautiful property!
And THANKS AGAIN for allowing FEI to be part of this experience. It is more important than ever to promote and support this type of event to develop and allow the horses and riders interested in the international experience a way to qualify to compete at Championship events and achieve their full potential. So...thanks for your kindness, patience and hospitality.
Without the generosity of ERABC, the FEI 1* held at Moulton Creek would NOT have been possible. On behalf of the FEI riders and the OC, we want to sincerely thank ERABC and its members for financially supporting this competition, assisting those riders pursuing international goals. With the World Equestrian Games being held in Kentucky next year, it has created new interest in ‘riding for Canada’, and you can be sure that some of the BC riders will be on the Team! We wish them the very best of luck!
Congratulations to all the riders on this first ride of the year in BC!

Aug 1/09 Tevis Cup - Kim Hofmarks, Danny Grant, Karen Ellis, and former ERABC member now living in Arizona Kevin Myers rode what is reputed the most difficult 100 mile endurance ride in the world in California today. Kim and Danny completed 8 minutes shy of the maximum 24 hrs allowed, while Kevin finished a couple of hours earlier. Unfortunately Karen’s horse lost a shoe sometime prior to the final hold just 6 miles from the finish causing Elektra to trot out lame, and she was unable to complete. We are proud of all of these riders and their fantastic horses!
